Sarah Adam is an artist from western Massachusetts.

She specializes in illustration, graphic design, and landscape painting on locally sourced materials.

Utilizing traditional and digital media, she creates a variety of whimsical illustration, including children’s books, coloring & activity booklets, greeting cards, editorial illustration and commissioned portraits.

When painting, Sarah focuses on the beauty of a bright sky with woodsy silhouettes. Utilizing acrylic on found surfaces – including barn wood, locally-sourced slate and recycled canvas – she captures a quiet moment under a moonlit sky, a sea of stars, snow flurries, and soft sunsets.

Sarah has participated in several painting projects for the city of Greenfield, including two utility box murals and a painted bee sculpture. She has illustrations published in the Thoreau Society Newsletter, and completed designs for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts and several local non-profits.

Sarah can be found at her art studio in the center of Sunderland. Please reach out if you’d like to come by for a visit!
