More about Honey Glow:

This bee has been gifted to the city of Greenfield in celebration of bees, beekeeping, and all hard working pollinators everywhere. Vivid tones of red, gold, and orange allude to the varying shades of honey that can be produced from different flowers. The branching pattern represents the shape of bee wings and flowering trees. This pattern covers the entire bee sculpture in an energetic fashion, much like a bee’s path through the garden. The layers of acrylic media give the form a stained-glass luminance. The autumnal hues also remind us that the bee has finished its work for the season, and we enjoy the sweetness of its labors throughout the colder months.
