Long time no see! Late Summer + Early Fall Updates

outdoor pop up

Greetings art friends!

I’m hoping you’re all staying healthy and safe during these uncertain times. I’m sorry I haven’t been in touch much this year – as you can imagine, it’s been a little strange and busy (I’m sure it’s the same for you!) but I wanted to check in, share some updates, and let you know that my family and I are safe and well, and that’s a true blessing.

Outdoor Art Pop-Up!

Saturday + Sunday, September 19 – 20
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (both days)
76 Hope St. (The Web Building) Greenfield, MA 01301

Since this is the weekend I would usually be at Start on the Street in Worcester, I’m honoring this local arts weekend with an outdoor sale. I’ll have my tent up outside the building, and you can peruse my collection of painted slate landscapes, all paintings large and small, plus magnets, ornaments, pins, coloring books, note cards, and more! Masks are required, and we’ll be spacing out shoppers to four persons at a time in the tent. Thank you for helping me make this event successful by staying safe!

Follow my Facebook page to RSVP and stay updated.

honeyglow bee

The ‘Honeyglow’ Bee is completed!

Last year, my design was chosen out of many to paint one of six bees that will be on display in downtown Greenfield in time for the Langstroth Bee Festival, which would have been held this spring. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the festival was canceled, and the bees are in hibernation until next spring. BUT I wanted to share the finished artwork with you – I think it came out well! I used my branch motif in combination with a warm palette to represent all the beautiful variations of honey colors. I’ll keep you posted when all the bees will be out next year!

food bank van2

The Food Bank has a new delivery van, and it looks delicious!

I am so proud to share my first truck wrap design! Here is the new van for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, thanks to a generous donation by New England Ford. The Food Bank can utilize this refrigerated van to bring more healthy food to our communities throughout western MA. Many thanks to Signarama for their attention to detail (and making sure my design worked!)

1 year anniversary at studio

July marks my first year at Madsahara Art + Design studio!

I just celebrated my first year at my studio in Greenfield! Grateful every day to have this creative space. I was hoping to share this occasion with you by hosting an anniversary party, but… well, you know. I want to extend a huge Thank You for supporting me throughout the years as I moved from spare rooms to sun porches to finally finding a dedicated work space.

BLM thank you

Through your support, I was able to make enough art sales to donate to some important causes to support the Black Lives Matter movement: The Massachusetts Bail Fund and Black Lives Matter Boston.
