This Saturday: The Greenfield Bee Fest!

Join us in downtown Greenfield as we celebrate the mighty honeybee with art, education and fun! My painted bee sculpture, ‘Honey Glow’ will be on display along with five other beautifully painted bees around town. Plus a guided installation by Exploded View: Hope is the Honey, a guided audio Bee Fest Promenade, and more!

Why Bee Fest: Reverend Lorenzo L. Langstroth, the “Father of Modern Beekeeping,” was pastor at Second Congregational Church in Greenfield Massachusetts from 1843 to 1848. This “citizen scientist” invented and patented the modern moveable frame beehive in 1852. Langstroth’s design, based on his discovery of “bee space,” is still in use worldwide.

Saturday, May 22nd, downtown Greenfield MA. Events begin at 9am and go throughout the day. Learn more: www.greenfieldbeefest.org
